Details:
Marital discord is common in Singapore. It can have a myriad of presentations in the GP clinic such as recurrent sick leave, migraines, chest pain, giddiness, or psychiatric presentations such as acute stress reaction or anxiety or depression. Beyond the couple, marital discord also has mild to severe adverse implications on children, and the extended family members. It is important for GPs to recognize, and intervene such discords, whether personal, or in professional capacities promptly and properly. GPs will learn to refer these patients appropriately.

This CME will feature didactic lectures by the family physician, clinical psychologist, family and marital therapist and consultant psychiatrist on this topic.

There will be role play demonstrations as well as hands on sessions, featuring small group role plays, followed by a general sharing of our experiences.

There will be a bonus segment on how to improve our own marital relationships.
